Capstone®62-AL industrial intermediate is ethanol telomer. The molecular structure contains six fluorinated carbon atoms and two non-fluorinated carbon atoms. It is a colorless to pale yellow clear liquid. In compliance with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Toxic Substances Management Act (TSCA), the content of PFOA (ammonium perfluorooctanoate and its salts) is reduced below the instrument detection limit * (LOD).
Capstone® 62-AL can react with isocyanate to synthesize fluorinated polyurethane copolymer. Can reduce the surface energy of the original resin, improve weather resistance, stain resistance and hydrophobicity.
