Product Description:
Dynasylan® HYDROSIL 1151 is a silane with amino functional groups. It can be used as an adhesion promoter between inorganic materials (such as glass, metals and fillers) and organic polymers (thermosetting / plastic plastics and elastomers). The product is colorless or slightly yellow, with a slight ammonia smell, and is miscible with alcohol or water.
Dynasylan®HYDROSIL 1151 aqueous solution system contains 40% active silane.
Feature:
Dynasylan®HYDROSIL 1151 is a bifunctional organic compound whose silicon hydroxyl groups can bond with inorganic substrates; its amino groups can interact with suitable organic polymers. Compared with the corresponding aminopropylalkoxysilane, Dynasylan®HYDROSIL 1151 has a big advantage of inert flammability, which means that no volatile organic compounds are released during use, and no special safety equipment is required. The product can be diluted with water in any proportion, and the diluent is stable for a long time.
Inorganic substrates suitable for Dynasylan® HYDROSIL 1151 are glass, glass fiber, asbestos, mineral wool, silicic acid, quartz, sand, cristobalite, wollastonite, and mica; as well as aluminum hydroxide, kaolin, talc, and other silicates Fillers, metal oxides and metals. Suitable organic polymers are epoxy resins, polyurethanes, phenolic resins, furan resins, melamine resins, PA, PBT, PC, EVA, PP, PVAC, acrylic resins and silicone resins.

Dynasylan®HYDROSIL 1151 is an important additive in many applications. The advantages for water-based systems are particularly obvious. E.g:
Fiberglass / electronic cloth: as wetting agent and finishing agent
Primer for glass and metal
Inorganic fiber insulation materials, abrasives: as phenolic resin additives
Casting resin: as an additive for cold curing phenolic resin and furan resin
Adhesives and sealants: used as primer or added inorganic filled composites: pretreatment or additives of fillers and pigments
Paints and coatings: as an additive or primer to enhance adhesion to the substrate
