Axalta CoatingsAntibacterial technology applied to the beds set up by the Chicago Hospital for COVID-19 patients

Recently, Axalta announced the provision of over 7000 pounds of Alita to a temporary hospital in McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois™ Alesta AM powder coating. The antibacterial powder coating will be applied on the bedstead prepared for the treatment of patients with novel coronavirus, to ensure that the bedstead surface can effectively resist the growth of bacteria on the bedstead surface and guard the sanitation of the coating surface.

Michael Bollan, Director of Powder Coatings Business at Axalta in the United States, said, "Axalta cares about our communities worldwide. In this special time, we are honored to assist hospitals and patients by providing high-quality coating surface solutions

Alita™Alesta AM powder coating has excellent protective and decorative properties, while meeting high antibacterial standards. It is treated with silver ions or silver zinc zeolite technology, which can stably inhibit the invasion and growth of bacteria, molds, and fungi on the surface of powder coatings, and will not make microorganisms resistant. It can provide effective protection for the surfaces of hospitals, public transportation, medical equipment, water treatment plants, food packaging equipment, pharmaceutical laboratories, schools, child care facilities, and other medical equipment.

AstraZeneca Voltatex ® Electrical insulation resin is used in respirators and N95 respirators to fight against COVID-19

Recently, Axalta announced an increase in the production and supply of Voltatex electrical insulation resin to support medical equipment customers in rapidly producing rescue equipment such as ventilators and N95 mask machines.
