Overview of MS resin
MS resin is a prepolymer of silyl terminated polyether. It is prepared by linking the silane compound containing hydrolyzable group to the end group of polyether with average molecular weight of 5000-10000 and dual functionality through related chemical reaction. The structure of MS polymer is characterized by macromolecular polyether as the main chain and silane group containing hydrolyzable group as the end group.
The type, relative molecular weight and viscosity of MS resin and spur prepolymer determine the properties of the cured products. The suitable ms or spur resin should be selected or synthesized according to different performance requirements. When Ms resin and spur prepolymer are synthesized, the type and relative molecular weight of polyether and silane sealing agent have great influence on the properties of sealant.
