What are the effects of dispersants on the dispersibility of papermaking pulp?

In the process of paper production, materials such as fibers, fillers, resins, pigments, and pectin in pulp have hydrophobicity. If they aggregate into clumps, it can cause uneven dispersion of the pulp and insufficient strength of the produced paper. Therefore, paper dispersants need to be added to the pulp to increase its viscosity, achieve uniform dispersion of fibers and fillers in the pulp, make the paper soft and pore free, less prone to paper breakage and powder formation, stabilize paper performance, and improve the tensile strength and dry wet strength of the paper product while saving pulp.

分散剂对造纸纸浆分散性有什么影响?

Paper dispersant is a water-based dispersant, non-ionic, colorless and transparent liquid, which has the characteristics of assisting grinding, coating, reducing oil absorption value, viscosity, increasing dispersion, flow, toughness, high temperature and high pressure resistance, etc. When added to pulp, it can show excellent fiber dispersion effect, improve the softness and uniformity of the finished paper. This product is easily soluble in water and forms a high viscosity liquid. At low addition levels, it can promote good dispersion of papermaking fibers and excellent paper forming effect, improve pulp uniformity and paper softness, and increase the strength performance of paper.

Paper making dispersants can also increase the speed of papermaking, save pulping time, reduce energy consumption, and have significant economic benefits. Paper dispersants are currently widely used in the production of low basis weight paper such as toilet paper, news paper, cigarette paper, tea filter paper, hanging paper, napkins, colored wrinkled paper, electrolytic dissolution paper, and electrostatic copy paper.
