Acrylic ester leveling agent:

Resin based surface flowability control agents are mostly linear resin polymers, mainly including acrylic resin, urea formaldehyde resin, and melamine formaldehyde resin. In the universal mechanism, the compatibility of these resins is limited. They will accumulate on the surface layer to form new resin films, which tend to balance the interfacial tension of the coating film. However, they will not reduce the interfacial tension, so they do not affect the fluidity of exterior latex paint, and are often referred to as fluidity accelerators. Acrylic resin is the guest in this leveling agent.

Acrylic leveling agents not only promote the fluidity and leveling of coatings, but also do not affect the interlayer adhesion of coatings, and have a demulsification effect.

Leveling principle:

The solubility of acrylic leveling agents is an important index for their ability to control the surface condition of coatings. Good compatibility, dissolved in the coating film, will not form new pages on the surface of the coating film, providing an inability to level; The compatibility is too poor, and it is impossible to evenly distribute it on the surface of the coating, which will gather together and easily cause shrinkage defects. It will reduce the glossiness of the coating and produce adverse toxic side effects such as haze. Only when the idealized control plan is compatible can a new page layer be formed on the surface of the coating, which has a leveling effect.
