Classification of Titanate Coupling Agents:

1. Monoalkoxy type is currently a widely used titanium ester coupling agent, especially suitable for filler systems that do not contain free water, such as fully functional calcium carbonate, hydrated alumina, etc. Chemical or physical bonding water is beneficial for coupling. The typical representative of this type of coupling agent is isopropyl tristearoyl titanate (TTS).

2. Monoalkoxypyrophosphate type coupling agents are insensitive to water and can be used for inorganic fillers with high moisture content, such as clay and talc powder. Because they can not only be broken by alkoxyl groups and bound to the surface of fillers, but also be bound to fillers through phosphate ester groups generated by hydrolysis of pyrophosphate groups.

3. Chelating coupling agents have excellent hydrolysis resistance. Titanium ester coupling agents can therefore be used under high humidity conditions and are suitable for wet process silica, talc powder, clay, silicate, carbon black, and water treated glass fibers. Its representative varieties are oxoacetoxy and dioxoethyl.

4. The role of coordination type titanium ester coupling agents is similar to that of monoalkyl type, with relatively stable performance and no ester exchange reaction with resins or other additives. Suitable for various filling systems such as epoxy resin, PVC, polyester, polyurethane, etc.
