1、Different properties

1. Dehydrating agent:It can reduce the moisture in the material or remove the crystalline water in the compound molecules.

2. Water absorbing agent:A functional polymer material with particularly strong water absorption capacity.

2、 Different characteristics

1. Characteristics of Dehydrating Agent:

(1) Flocculation:Dehydrating agents induce flocculation of suspended solids through neutralization and bridging adsorption.

(2) Adhesive properties:Dehydrating agents exert adhesive effects through mechanical, physical, and chemical interactions.
(3) Resistance reduction:Dehydrating agents can effectively reduce the frictional resistance of fluids, and adding trace amounts of PAM to water can reduce resistance by 50-80%.
(4) Thickening property:Dehydrating agents can thicken under both neutral and acidic conditions, and polyacrylamide with a pH value greater than 10 is prone to hydrolysis. When the structure is semi reticular, thickening is more pronounced.

2. Characteristics of Water Absorbent:

(1) Non toxic, safe, environmentally friendly, non-toxic and odorless, pollution-free plants, soil and groundwater, fruit trees and flowers, greening, soilless cultivation, plant preservation and transportation, field crops, etc. Soil water retaining agents and waterproof soil erosion agents ultimately decompose into carbon dioxide, water, ammonia nitrogen, and sodium or potassium ions without any residue.

(2) Water conservation can effectively suppress water evaporation and prevent soil erosion. Even under irrigation conditions, more than 50% of water can be saved.

(3) Improve soil structure, improve clay heavy soil, leaked sandy soil, and secondary saline alkali soil, promote the development of soil microorganisms, and enhance the turnover and utilization efficiency of soil organic matter.

(4) Long service life. It combines the characteristics of various polymers and can repeatedly absorb water, expand, and release shrinkage. Can be used for production for more than 6 years. It is currently the longest lasting soil moisturizing product on the market.

3、 Different applications

1. Dehydrating agent application:The application of dehydrating agents in the water treatment industry mainly includes three aspects: raw water treatment, sewage treatment, and industrial water treatment. In raw water treatment, dehydrating agents can coagulate with activated carbon to clarify suspended particles in domestic sewage and sewage treatment. Dehydrating agents can be used for sludge dewatering; In industrial water treatment, dehydrating agents are mainly used as formulation agents.

2. Application of Water Absorbent:

(1) Lawn:It is widely used in the construction of new lawns. It has the advantages of high seedling emergence rate, fast plateau formation, long moisturizing time, and simple construction. It is mainly used for golf courses and football fields.

(2) Grass:In deserts or pure sandy areas with annual rainfall less than 200mm, drought resistant leguminous plants are generally selected. Mainly composed of Asteraceae grass. It can be used as a "moisturizing coating" for seeds, which is simple, economical, and can effectively promote seed germination and improve germination rate. Planting water retaining agents and seeds in mountainous and plain areas. If the annual rainfall is greater than 200mm, mixed planting is not allowed.
