Generally, carbon fiber cloth is stacked in a staggered manner in the fiber direction in a mold, and multiple layers of cut carbon fiber cloth are stood together layer by layer using epoxy resin adhesive. This process requires 5 to 10 layers or even more of carbon fiber cloth as thin as cicada wings to be glued together to form a thickened version of carbon fiber cloth. At this point, its flexibility is already very poor, almost comparable to that of steel materials. The principle is like completely pasting a page of paper into a thick stack, and the stack will become sturdy.
Pre bonded semi-finished products
Afterwards, a high-temperature and high-pressure oven will be used to further compress and strengthen the bonded volume. The final product will be the raw material of the components, which will be processed through processes such as deburring, polishing, and polishing to produce shiny body components! The production process may seem simple, but the cost of carbon fiber cloth and the process itself limit its ability to be mass-produced, as products made from carbon fiber are very expensive.
