Its foam inhibiting ability is superior to defoaming ability, and it is suitable to be added in the basic medium to inhibit the production of foam in the whole fermentation process. GPE type defoamers have good hydrophilicity, are easy to spread in foaming media, have strong defoaming ability, but also have high solubility and short defoaming activity maintenance time. Therefore, they are more effective when used in viscous fermentation broth.
Liquid defoamers have the characteristics of rapid defoaming, long-lasting foam suppression, and no impact on the taste of the product.
