There are many types of hazardous chemicals, and the country has mandatory measures that require strict licenses when using these chemicals, which ordinary people cannot come into contact with. So defoamers are a common additive that is non-toxic and can even be used as food additives.

消泡剂不是危险品

Defoamers, also known as antifoams, will produce many harmful foam in the process of industrial production, so defoamers need to be added. It is widely used to remove harmful foam generated in the production process of latex, textile sizing, food fermentation, biomedicine, coating, petrochemical, paper making, industrial cleaning and other industries.

Long term defoaming, also known as foam suppression, is the most important indicator of the quality of defoamers. In most cases, we use defoamers because of their anti foaming properties, rather than their initial defoaming ability. Defoaming and foam suppression are relative, and products with good defoaming performance may have lower foam suppression performance. In practical applications, it depends on the specific situation.

Defoamers are not classified as dangerous goods, non-toxic, non flammable, and should be stored in a sealed, cool, ventilated, and dry place indoors. They have a shelf life of 12 months at around 25 ℃. GP type defoamers have poor hydrophilicity and low solubility in foaming media, so they are suitable for use in thin fermentation broth. Its foam inhibiting ability is superior to defoaming ability, and it is suitable to be added in the basic medium to inhibit the production of foam in the whole fermentation process. GPE type defoamers have good hydrophilicity, are easy to spread in foaming media, have strong defoaming ability, but also have high solubility and short defoaming activity maintenance time. Therefore, they are more effective when used in viscous fermentation broth.

Liquid defoamers have the characteristics of rapid defoaming, long-lasting foam suppression, and no impact on the taste of the product. Liquid defoamers are widely used in various industries such as soy products, dairy industry, pharmaceuticals, dairy products, beverages, sugar industry, soy protein extraction, soy sauce and vinegar brewing, etc.
