The defoaming and anti foaming effect of defoamers is generally proportional to the dosage, but there is also a saturation point where adding the dosage after reaching a certain concentration does not prolong the anti foaming time. Therefore, excessive use is a waste, and the appropriate concentration is the key to ensuring that your defoaming requirements are met, as well as the most economical use of defoamers.

The defoaming and anti foaming effects of defoamers gradually weaken over time until they disappear. But good defoamers have much longer foam suppression than poor defoamers, so evaluating the quality of a defoamer not only depends on its initial foam suppression ability, but also on the length of foam suppression time. Long anti foaming time is the most difficult quality to achieve for defoamers, and it is the determining factor of the price ratio of defoaming performance. Good defoamers far exceed poor defoamers in this regard.

There is no relationship between the viscosity and concentration of defoamers. High concentration (solid content) defoamers may have low viscosity, while high viscosity defoamers may have low concentration. But it is precisely the low viscosity and high concentration defoamers that are at a high level in the manufacturing process. Therefore, users cannot simply judge the quality of defoamers based on their appearance viscosity, otherwise it is easy to draw incorrect conclusions, which will affect your production.
