Tyzor® 211 is a water-stable titanium chelate, capable of forming cross-links with many organic polymer materials and carbohydrate-OH or -COOH groups (such as cellulose, starch, guar gum), strong gel through Crosslink formation. Through a similar mechanism, the product can also be used as a functional surface tackifier.
Application
Oil well fracturing fluid
Tyzor® 211 is an effective cross-linking agent in the dispersion of guar gum and its derivatives, forming a high-viscosity hydrogel used in oil well fracturing applications.
Inks, paints and coatings
Tyzor® 211 crosslinks polymers and adhesives in waterborne coatings such as latex, acrylic paints and printing inks. The advantages are cross-linking, adhesion promotion and rheological control, and pigment surface modification can also be achieved.
Reaction catalyst
Tyzor®211 is an effective catalyst in esterification, transesterification, condensation, and addition reactions. The effect is to slow down the reaction rate, high yield, easy to knead, low toxicity and low concentration of catalyst.
User's Guidance
For the cross-linking reaction, Tyzor® 211 is usually added to the polymer or the binder as the last component. The time for gel formation depends on the polymer, temperature, pH, strength of brine, titanic acid concentration, etc.
