SILFIN 06 is a compound silane used in the one-step (Monosil) silane cross-linked polyethylene and ethylene copolymer compound process.

All admixtures are specially designed for low-voltage or medium-voltage copper conductor cables. Such cables must undergo an aging test at 135 ° C for 7 days.

Features and Use

Silfin 06 is a low-voltage and medium-voltage cross-linked polyethylene cable mainly used in the one-step process (MONOSIL) process.

The silfin 06 package contains completely stable components, so that unstable film components can be used for the insulation layer of copper wires.

Cross-linked cables using Silfin 06 are subjected to a 7-day aging test at 1355 ° C in copper wires.

High temperature resistance is the main reason why cross-linked polymers must be used in cables. In addition, cross-linking can improve the following properties:

Crush resistance, increase filler filling

Better adhesion to inorganic surfaces (glass, metal and fillers), and adhesion to organic materials.

Reaction

Silfin 06 is suitable for the preparation of wet solid polymers. The characteristics of this process are grafted onto the polymer during the vinyl silane extrusion process.

After grafting, the polymer can still be processed as a thermoplastic resin. Only through moisture treatment (usually 80 ℃ -100 ℃ water bath, steam bath or normal temperature conditions), the polymer will be cross-linked, thus forming a cross-linked polymer. This reaction is accelerated under the catalyst, and silfin 06 contains the necessary components for the two-step reaction.
