Dynasylan ® SILFIN 75 is developed and produced by Evonik Degussa AG, and is a mixture of vinylsilane, initiator, and catalyst components suitable for the one-step process of cross-linked polyethylene.
Dynasylan ® SILFIN 75 Vinylsilane Overview is a silane system designed for the one-step crosslinking of polyethylene and ethylene copolymer cable materials industry. The silane combination system has been specially designed to improve its stability during transportation or storage (such as 31A IBC packaging) and under high temperature conditions.

Dynasylan® SILFIN 75 Vinyl silane is suitable for the preparation of moisture cured polymers. The essential feature of this process is that vinyl silane is grafted onto polymer molecules during extrusion, and after grafting, the polymer can still be processed as a thermoplastic polymer. Only after moisture curing, the polymer chains crosslink with each other to form crosslinked polymers (see the second step in the figure), which is usually treated in a water bath or steam bath (80-100 ℃), or even in natural humidity. The use of catalysts accelerates the reaction.
Dynasylan® SILFIN 75 Vinylsilane contains the necessary components for the above two reactions. Through Dynasylan ®SILFIN 75 Polyethylene crosslinked with vinylsilane is mainly used in one-step processes (such as Monosil ®) to produce medium and low voltage cables. Using Dynasylan ® SILFIN 75 can:
• The body accelerated degradation temperature (SADT) is 75 ℃
• Reduce pre crosslinking in the extruder
• Improve grafting efficiency
• Improve output rate
• Improve the stability of safe transportation and storage (e.g. 31A IBC container)
