Dynasylan ® 1124 bis (trimethoxysilylpropyl) amine can generally be used as an adhesion promoter or surface modifier be-tween inorganic materials (such as glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (hot solids, thermoplastics, elastomers).

Dynasylan®1124 Bis (trimethoxysilylpropyl) amine, developed and produced by Evonik Degussa AG, is a secondary amino silane with two symmetrical silicon atoms. Dynasylan®1124 Bis (trimethoxysilylpropyl) amine can generally be used as an adhesion promoter or surface modifier between inorganic materials (such as glass, metals, and fillers) and organic polymers (hot solids, thermoplastics, and elastomers). Dynasylan®1124 Bis (trimethoxysilylpropyl) amine is a slightly yellow liquid with an ammonia odor. The product is soluble in organic compounds such as alcohols, hydrocarbons, or aromatic compounds.

 Dynasylan ® 1124 bis (trimethoxysilylpropyl)amineFunctionality:

        Dynasylan ® 1124 is a bifunctional organic compound. In the presence of water, its methoxysilane group undergoes hydrolysis to generate active silanol groups, which can bond to inorganic materials. The amino groups of organic compounds can interact with suitable polymers. Due to the presence of six hydrolyzable substituents in one molecule, Dynasylan ® 1124 is particularly suitable for forming highly cross-linked network structures on or between substrates and organic matrices. 

        The hydrolysis of Dynasylan ® 1124 in water requires the action of acidic catalysts (such as formic acid or acetic acid to adjust the pH to 2-3). In order to achieve solubility in organic solvents, each serving


 Dynasylan ® 1124 requires the addition of 2-4% (by weight) of water. The solution needs to be stirred for 5 hours before use. Suitable polymers include epoxy resin, polyurethane, phenolic resin, furan resin, and melamine resin PA、PBT、PC、EVA, Modified PP PVB、PVAC、PVC、、 Acrylic ester and silicone resin. 

        The secondary amine group in Dynasylan ® 1124 endows it with high alkalinity, and its reactivity is slightly lower than that of the primary amine group. When used as a sealing agent for polyurethane, this is one of the main advantages of the product.

        The excellent crosslinking effect of Dynasylan ® 1124 makes it the preferred component for surface silanization of inorganic fillers and improving corrosion resistance in metal treatment.
