This scholarship is launched in collaboration with the City of Wilmington and its HBCU Week program, aimed at supporting students in the Wilmington area pursuing science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) degrees at traditional black colleges and universities (HBCU).
Chemours's broader 'Corporate Responsibility Commitment' includes 10 bold and ambitious goals that the company strives to achieve by 2030, and extending this project until 2030 is consistent with this commitment.

Since 2018, Chemours has awarded 8 scholarships to students pursuing STEM degrees at HBCU in the Wilmington area.
