Chemours Corporation extends the 'Chemistry for the Future' scholarship program until 2030, reaffirming its commitment to increasing STEM skills learning opportunities in more communities

The company announced today that it will extend its "Chemistry Achievement Future" scholarship program until 2030. This scholarship is launched in collaboration with the City of Wilmington and its HBCU Week program, aimed at supporting students in the Wilmington area pursuing science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) degrees at traditional black colleges and universities (HBCU).

Chemours's broader 'Corporate Responsibility Commitment' includes 10 bold and ambitious goals that the company strives to achieve by 2030, and extending this project until 2030 is consistent with this commitment. 

 

This ten-year commitment is aimed at students in the Wilmington area, and it is our tribute to the talented youth of this city. Since 2018, Chemours has awarded 8 scholarships to students pursuing STEM degrees at HBCU in the Wilmington area.

In the past year, Komu has expanded its scholarship program to other communities within its operational scope, including North Carolina and Georgia in the United States, Shanghai in China, and Laguna, Mexico.
