Many people know about water-based release agents, but how to use them? Some people are not very familiar with the correct usage of it. So, the editor of Jianyi Chemical would like to add some information about the use of water-based release agents and the dilution ratio of release agents.
Usage of water-based release agent:
1. First, thoroughly clean the surface of the mold with an appropriate mold cleaner to remove any residual mold release agent and other contaminants. Then, wipe off any moisture with a clean vegetable cloth/cotton cloth;
2. Before using water-based demolding, please shake the bucket to avoid the presence of sediment. Once shaken evenly, it will not affect the effect;
3. You can use vegetable cloth or cotton cloth to wipe, or you can use spraying equipment with air assist function;
4. Wipe the pre treated clean mold once with concentrated solution. Completely cover the mold with the release agent to form a strong film;
5. After spraying the release agent onto the mold, blow it down with an air gun and wait for the concentrated release agent to evaporate before applying paint or directly filling the mold.
The dilution ratio of water-based release agents should be adjusted according to the complex structure of the product and the density of the solvent used. Generally, concentrated release agents need to be diluted 10-15 times, and it is recommended to use the corresponding solvent of the release agent for dilution.
The surface of the product made by the above methods is bright, dry, and non greasy. Note that for any new use or change in process, feasibility experiments must be conducted first to achieve the optimal dilution ratio and the best product surface effect.
