Water based release agent, in simple terms, refers to water as an intermediate substance or solvent. In production, the mold has a certain temperature, even high temperature, and some oil as an intermediate substance can emit other odors and harmful gases. Therefore, water is a good ideal. As a medium, water evaporates in a high-temperature environment, forming the components of the film that effectively and uniformly adhere to the mold cavity.

Advantages of water-based release agents:

1. It can withstand high temperatures, is a good water-based release agent, and has good high temperature resistance performance.

2. All release agents need to be resistant to erosion, and there is strong thermal impact when injecting raw materials into the mold;

3. After molding, the product needs to be removed from the mold, so the demolding performance is good and cannot be coated with adhesive film;

4. After demolding, there should be no residual substances in the mold, and there should be no carbon deposits, blackening, or pores on the surface of the product;

5. Release agents should not damage or corrode the mold, so that the product's contour is clear and complete;

6. The release agent has no odor, no volatile substances, no smoke in high temperatures, no toxic gas production, and does not harm the body of the production personnel.

What is the reason why the release agent does not spread when brushed onto the hot or cold mold, forming water droplets? The phenomenon of water droplets in water-based release agents is that when brushed onto the mold on the cold or hot mold, the release agent is like tap water pouring onto the tabletop, forming water droplets. This is a problem with the surface tension of the product. Normal water-based release agents have diffusion function. If the mold is not clean and there is grease, it will form water droplets. The mold is very clean and there will be no water droplets. If the mold is heated, it is like a hot flat bottomed pan (with a high temperature at the bottom). When plain water is poured onto the bottom of the pan, water droplets will appear and it will boil quickly because of its high boiling point.
