Recently, a globally leading specialty chemical company--Up to now, the largest investment project of Evonik Industrial Group in Germany has officially started construction. At the groundbreaking ceremony, Armin Laschet, Governor of North Rhine Westphalia, Kulman, Chairman of Evonik, and over 200 Evonik clients, employees, and political representatives witnessed this historic moment at the construction site located in the Mal Chemical Park in Germany. With the official launch of the new polyamide 12 integrated production plant project, the newly added PA12 and its precursor plant will effectively supplement the existing production capacity of Winchuang, and are expected to increase the total production capacity of the group's PA12 by more than 50%. Planned to be put into operation in 2021.
Kuliman emphasized the importance of the new factory:This is the largest single investment by Evonik in Germany. The new factory is built because we want to continue developing innovative specialty chemicals to achieve growth. With the high-performance polymer PA 12, we are able to serve multiple strategic growth markets worldwide, such as 3D printing. At the same time, in the automotive industry, the lightweight and durable plastics we produce also make important contributions to improving resource efficiency
