(November 29, 2019) ) Global leading specialty chemical company--Evonik Industrial GroupAnnouncement: Mr. Xia Fuliang, the current head of the North Asia region of the company's resource efficiency business unit, will assume the position of President of Evonik China from January 1, 2020, in addition to his existing business responsibilities.
Xia Fuliang will take over from Dr. Ke Leshi（Dr. Claas Klasen）， The latter will retire at the end of 2019 after serving Winco for over 30 years.

Xia Fuliang holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Fudan University in Shanghai and a Master's degree in Economics from Heidelberg University in Germany. He isIn 2002, he joined the German Degussa Group (the predecessor of Evonik) as a business analyst. In 2005, Xia Fuliang returned to China and held various management positions, including General Manager of two subsidiaries of Evonik and Asian Head of the Active Oxide Business Line. Since 2016, he has served as the head of the North Asia region for the resource efficiency business unit of Winco.
Over the past few years, with a customer-centric and people-oriented management philosophy, as well as in-depth insights into the Chinese market, Xia Fuliang has made significant contributions to the strategic planning and business development of multiple specialty chemical businesses in China and Asia for Evonik.
