DefoamerPrecautions when choosing:
1Choose water-based paint specific defoamers that have excellent stability, strong anti foaming ability, and will not affect the gloss of the coating product.
IITo check if it affects the recoating performance
Suggest using high-speed stirring method. Set the rotational speed of the machine, the amount of mixing time and viscosity, and compare the foam elimination time and foam suppression time of the same height.
IIIThe amount of defoamer added for water-based coatings
Generally, it is 0.1~0.3%. It is not recommended to add too much as it may cause adverse reactions such as shrinkage and oil droplets.
4It can also be judged whether the appropriate defoamer for water-based coatings has been selected from the rotational speed, mixing time, adhesion and foam height.
5Most water-based paint defoamers cannot be directly added to diluted water-based paints. It is best to add them when the viscosity of the paint/resin is relatively high, and the first time to add them is during grinding, and the second time is during paint formation, with a dosage of 1/2 each.
