The company's corporate responsibility commitment is based on ten goals, namely, to achieve excellence in safety, vibrant communities, employee motivation, climate, water quality, waste, sustainable products, and sustainable supply chain goals in eight key areas by 2030.

This year's report is based on Chemours's operations in 2018 and provides a detailed overview of the actions and progress the company is taking towards achieving corporate responsibility goals aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

 

The highlights of Chemours's 2018 Corporate Responsibility Commitment Report include:

 

9.5% of the company's revenue comes from the sale of products that directly support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.


47% of the company's products are transported to customers using reusable or recyclable packaging.


The company has launched its first "Global Service Day" event, providing 5860 hours of volunteer service to communities and non-profit organizations within the communities where Komu operates around the world.


Chemours announced strategic investments in multiple factories to reduce organic fluoride emissions by 99% or more.


By upgrading equipment and using natural gas as fuel, the greenhouse gas emissions of the new Johnsonville plant in Tennessee were reduced by 145000 metric tons.
